I provide psychoeducation and therapeutic counseling services to teens, young adults, and families. I currently offer evening, Saturday, and virtual appointments. I use a variety of modalities, including Mindfulness, Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Person-Centered Therapy. I am continuously learning and implementing research-based techniques to help my clients heal and become their best possible selves.
But what does all that mean? Teens want to be heard and understood. They are facing an abundance of obstacles that they need help navigating. I’m here to do just that. I use an empathetic, non-judgmental approach to connect with my clients and determine the best methods to use to help them reach their therapeutic goals. I have found that including the family in this process has not only been beneficial for the client but the entire family as a whole.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (under the supervision of Robert Ferow, LPC-S # 62346) and have a passion for working with teens and young adults. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in psychology in 2014 and began teaching shortly thereafter. In 2021, I earned a Master of Education in School Counseling from Nicholls State University (Thibodaux, La.) but remained in the classroom. I moved to Texas and began my journey as an adolescent therapist. I have helped teens with depression, anxiety, substance use, low self-esteem, suicidal ideations, self-harming behaviors, life stressors, trauma, college and career planning, and communication with parents. I have nearly 10 years of experience working with adolescents from diverse backgrounds, including immigrants, LGBTQ, and low socioeconomic populations. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at the University of Holy Cross in New Orleans, Louisiana.
I love all that Houston has to offer. I enjoy engaging in activities with my favorite people, such as going to sporting events, especially the Astros, festivals, museums, concerts, and new restaurants.
